Therapy offers a space to understand what has happened to you, how it has shaped you, and how you can begin to feel more connected, steady and supported within yourself.

About Me

Looking for a counsellor and thinking about starting therapy can feel daunting and overwhelming. Finding someone you feel safe enough to talk to openly and honestly is one of the most important parts of the process.

My approach is to provide a kind, compassionate and practical space where we can work together to understand you, your life, and the experiences that have shaped you — including how they have impacted you and how they may still be affecting you now.

Life can be hard, and at times we can feel stuck within it. You may be trying to cope with painful experiences, difficult relationships, low self-esteem, anxiety, loss, or a sense that something in your life no longer feels manageable.

Therapy can offer a space to slow down, make sense of what you are feeling, understand your behaviours and patterns, and begin finding ways to cope and move forward.

How I Work

Everyone is different, so I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I take time to get to know you and work collaboratively with your goals, using different tools and interventions to support your understanding of yourself.

My work is informed by research and shaped by an understanding of how our experiences can influence our core beliefs, values, relationships and nervous system.

Together, we can explore how to create a greater internal sense of calm and safety, helping you navigate the many twists and turns of life with more awareness and self-compassion.

I use Internal Family Systems-informed work and inner child therapy as part of my approach, alongside practical coping strategies that you can add to your emotional toolkit.

Areas I Work With

I have spent the past four years working in trauma counselling, supporting clients who are processing and recovering from trauma experienced in childhood or adulthood.

This includes working with clients affected by:

  • sexual abuse
  • rape
  • domestic violence
  • physical abuse
  • emotional abuse
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • grief and loss
  • low self-esteem
  • relationship difficulties
  • attachment wounds
  • identity-related struggles
  • PTSD

I aim to offer a space where difficult experiences can be explored safely, at a pace that feels manageable for you.

One-Off Sessions

Alongside ongoing therapy, I offer one-off sessions for those who would like a focused space to talk through a particular difficulty, explore something that feels pressing, or have a solution-focused conversation.

One-off sessions can be helpful if you are not ready to commit to ongoing therapy, would like to try therapy for the first time, or need support with a specific issue.

These sessions are reflective and contained, though they are not a crisis service.

What Therapy With Me Can Feel Like

Clients have described me as kind, warm, patient, down to earth and empathetic.

They have also shared that therapy with me has felt positive, thought-provoking and impactful, offering a space where they felt heard, seen and supported.

My aim is to provide a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, compassionate and honest, where you can explore what is happening for you without fear of judgement.

Training, Qualifications and Experience

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling from the University of Northampton.

Over the past four years, I have worked in trauma counselling, supporting clients with a range of emotional, relational and psychological difficulties. My experience includes working with survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence and abuse, as well as clients experiencing anxiety, depression, loss, low self-esteem, attachment injuries, identity struggles and PTSD.

My integrative training allows me to draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels most helpful for each client. I work collaboratively, combining emotional exploration with practical strategies to support coping, self-understanding and recovery.

Starting Therapy

I offer 60-minute sessions, available face to face in Rugby or online via Zoom.

If you would like to meet virtually to see whether I may be the right therapist for you, I offer a free 30-minute consultation. This gives us a chance to talk about what you would like to explore and how I may be able to support you.
