About Sesan Therapy
Sesan Therapy is a counselling and psychotherapy practice based in Rugby, offering therapy for individuals and couples online and in person.
The practice was founded by Hania Alabd, an integrative psychotherapist, with the intention of creating a thoughtful, relational and culturally safe space for clients seeking more than surface-level support.
As the practice grows, each associate therapist is carefully selected to reflect the values and standards of Sesan Therapy. This means that while every therapist has their own personality, experience and way of working, all therapists within the practice are committed to a high standard of professionalism, care, ethical awareness and respect for the therapeutic relationship.

"Sesan" Meaning
The name Sesan means Lotus in ancient Egyptian.
The Sesan flower holds a special significance rooted in ancient Egyptian culture, where it symbolized rebirth, purity, and resilience. The lotus flower would submerge each night into the murky waters of the Nile and re-emerge in the morning, pristine and full of life, embodying the cycle of renewal and hope.
Hania chose Sesan as the name for the practice to reflect this powerful symbol of transformation and healing, and because it connects to her Egyptian heritage.
Just as the lotus rises above challenging conditions to bloom beautifully, we strive to support our clients in overcoming difficulties and rediscovering their inner strength and potential.
